This pair of dainty wooden stone studs, were part of our product development for the latest Collezione XXI. This pair were not as crisp and representative as we would have liked, but too good to disregard. For this reason we have made them available as part of our sample stock where you can treat yourself to them at a reduced price.
Made using sterling silver, these have been given a wooden inlay that is naturally of a green colour due to its decaying process. We are passionate about finding interesting and unique cuts of wood for our work. This wood whilst not of particular value has a green moulding which is quite famous in our part of the country (South East England) and historically has been used in beautiful marquetry to represent greenery such as trees and hills. It also has a fascinating name ‘mycelium of green elf cup fungus’. We thought this was pretty cool.
These wooden stone studs are handmade and have a subtle variation in form from one another, but we thought this quirk just added to the unique beauty of them.
These measure 10 mm by 7 mm
